Welcome to Love Your Liver Village!
About Love Your Liver
Love Your Liver is a public health awareness initiative designed to promote understanding of liver health among the general public. At each EASL Congress, a liver health demonstration is installed just beyond the doors of the conference venue, and it invites members of the local city, venue staff, and delegates to come and learn more about their livers. Join us to find out what your liver does for you!

The village has two areas – one offers free liver tests and the other has public health professionals ready to talk about all things liver health.
Free Liver Tests - What you Need to Know
- Transient elastography is a quick, painless, and non-invasive test that is similar to an ultrasound – it uses safe sound waves to measure how flexible or stiff the liver is, and can also assess how much fat is stored in the liver
- The test is not a diagnosis – it provides information about the liver but does not replace medical care and all concerns should be followed up with a primary care doctor
- The test takes approximately 10 minutes
- Everyone must fast for three hours prior to the test (water and black coffee allowed)
- Appointments are made onsite on a first come, first served basis
