Onsite Registrations VAT
- Registration fees for onsite participants include 21% Spanish VAT.
- Onsite group registrations by Spanish business entities are subject to reverse charge.
Online Registrations VAT
- Registration fees for online participants: online delegates are subject to the VAT of the Country they reside in.

Methods of Payment:
Credit card: only Eurocard/MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted. Please note that the merchant name that will appear on your credit card statement will be “Congrex Switzerland Ltd.”.
- A handling fee of 3% is applied to each booking.
Bank transfer:
- Bank account details will be mentioned on your registration invoice (only available until 6 May 2026, 23:59 CET).
Cheques:
- Please note that payments by personal cheque are not accepted.
In view of the hardships experienced by the people of Ukraine and in support of its scientific and patient communities, EASL is providing Ukrainian nationals and residents with complimentary online registration for EASL Congress 2026.
Please email easlcongress.registration@easloffice.eu to receive instructions, attaching a scan of a Ukrainian government-issued passport or a Ukrainian study or residence permit as proof of identity. This offer is valid for all Ukrainian nationals and formerly Ukraine-based residents, regardless of where they are currently residing.

** Proof uploads required:
The Trainees & Postdocs registration fee is applicable for individuals up to 35 years old; as well as for individuals up to 40 years who are still in training (Masters, PhD, and Postdocs, and residents in training) at the time of the Congress. Proof of age or a certificate from the supervisor or head of department must be forwarded together with the registration;
Nurse: confirmation of the current status as nurse.
Allied Health Professional: confirmation of the current status as AHP.
Local Nurse & AHP Day pass valid only 27-28 May: Confirmation of the current status as nurse or AHP. Proof of activity in the Netherlands.

Applying for a visa
We recommend applying for a visa as early as possible, as the application process can be time consuming.
Before applying for your visa, please check the latest information on entry regulations for Spain.
Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. In case of visa rejection, EASL cannot be held responsible and therefore cannot refund any registration and accommodation fees.
You are strongly advised to find out if you need a visa to enter Spain as early as possible, and should a visa be required, to apply as soon as possible.
Travellers requiring a visa can move freely throughout the Schengen zone for three months with a Schengen visa issued by any Schengen country. Obtaining a visa entitling you to visit one Schengen country automatically allows you to travel to and from all the other Schengen countries. Further information about visa regulations and Schengen visas can be found on the website of the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Italian regulations for pharmaceutical companies
Any pharmaceutical companies producing drugs in Italy and participating as sponsors or exhibitors at this event must be registered at the Italian Ministry of Health.
